Ive been on Tamoxifen for a few months went through most of the menopausal symptoms prior to starting the tamoxifen was doing well. Had a baseline pelvic ultrasound showing cysts on the ovaries. Two weeks after, I started developing pain on the left side. This time I had an Abdominal and Pelvis CT Scan, the cysts were larger from 2 weeks ago with thicking of the endometrium. I was able to have the biopsy today. I have some cramping but feeling a little better. Thank you for the kind words, I really needed it🥰.
I am sorry about the lengthy ER visit, that is never fun! I hope you can get your body settled down so the biopsy can be taken. The online patient portal is supposed to help keep all the doctors on the same page- but like anything, it only works as well as the people utilizing it. I hope you can rest today and start feeling better soon!
Yesterday I had a wonderful day in the ER from heavy bleeding I was able to see the gynecologist afterwards. The cysts must've popped or ruptured, my endometrium has thickened. I might have answered my own question, I went from being menopausal to a young chicken again🐣🐤. I can only laugh to help from being angry. As explained, the lupron is out of my system from switching to Tamoxifen. I have to go for a baseline biopsy of cervical tissue once this stops. I wish every doctor could be on the same page, it would be less of an issue to manage healthcare.
Hopefully, your regular gynocologist is back, and will set things right. With statistics of 1 in 8 women getting bc, and 80% of those having a hormone positive bio-marker, it is disturbing to think this physician felt this is not an issue to be followed by a gynocologist. I hope you are able to talk to your regular gynocologist soon!
