I did ok last year as far as cost with my insurance. I met my out of pocket expense early on. Now for my Pet scan alone next week. My out of pocket on it is $1,689.99. How are we supposed to be able to afford to keep check on ourselves. It's ridiculous.
I agree 100%! It’s ridiculous. All scans should be mandatory that insurance pay in full for all cancer patients.

I hear you, have you reached out as @A MyBCTeam Member suggested to the American Cancer Society in your area and/or state? They may have resources or could refer you to resources for funding. Also, some Hospital/Clinic systems have some discount programs and such as well. You would need to ask for the Billing department and then ask for a Supervisor and then talk with them regarding your situation and ask if they have any Cancer patient and/or other programs.
@A MyBCTeam Member do you still have that list of resources you previously shared that you could share again? That may be helpful for Reva.
Having insurance does not mean you have adequate coverage! Coming up with nearly $1,700.00 is extremely challenging.

I have been an advocate of free healthcare. It does have some disadvantages , but at least everyone would be equally able to have it done. Some just don’t have it done. 😢 Did you call the Cancer Society in your area? Prayers and hugs.
I got financial help for a year, up in June. Then I have it set up on a payment plan. I pay $30 a month on other medical place. It helps and it is manageable.
