I still have pain off and on and other sensations where I had the core biopsy,the lumpectomy, lympnodes removed and radiation treatments. I still have the stretch marks on one side of my breast. Yes you read correctly about the stretch marks. Also every so often along the incision from the lumpectomy and the clips they used to mark where it was. The core biopsy has been three years as of yesterday the 4th this Feb 1 the lumpectomy. The heart pillow they gave me just kept falling of my shoulder and for me was very uncomfortable for me. Maybe try to gently message the breast. When mine feels a little on the sore side that's what i do. I'm glad I went to my lympdema therapist . It even helps with the cording. As I said gently do it. I wish you less pain and more comfort. Hugs and love.

Its amazing women are still having pain from lumpectomy. I never had pain after surgery or since. Once in a while I feel an ache where sentinel nodes were removed but its hardly worth talking about since its brief. I wonder if its scar tissue causing pain or unresolved seromas for these women.

The answer is yes. I'm three years and still have off and on pain plus other areas of pain not related to the lumpectomy .I still have the stretch marks on my left breast from the swelling. I guess you would call them breast stretch marks.
Other side affects from the drugs passed , current, and radiation still pay a toll on my body. But then again as time goes on our bodies really don't want to be like what we were as teenagers. We must age gracefully and do the best we can. No matter what we still have the zest for life.

I’m 3 years out and had moderate pain in the breast. Not constant, more like ‘strikes.’ I had a couple seromas that were painful, but not horrible. Some scar twinges along the way. I developed truncal lymphedema and had that treated but that wasn’t supposed to treat pains, as I understand. There are random little strikes of pain occasionally but those last just seconds.

I had a lumpectomy 7 yrs. Ago and I had reduction on both sides. I have a lot of pain when I touch my incision line anywhere. Our new Puppy loves to lay across my top and it hurts when he lays there.I hope it’ll get better someday.Still haven’t got my genetic test results. I had some results in Oct. but nothing else since.
