For me, with TCH no Perjeta, after the first one it was mostly just being tired! I blame all the restless nights leading up to that first session. It was a long infusion day- and with steroids in the mix, I was really hungry when it was over. So, we would go to Golden Corral, no waiting and lots of options, especially helpful for those later sessions when my sense of taste and smell were off. Once we ate, I went home and slept in the recliner! Once the first one is done, things are easier because you will know what to expect from the process and how your body reacts. The nurses understand this is the first time, and would explain things as they did things. Just let them take care of you, and relax as best you can. My first infusion included premeds- and the Benedryl in that put me to sleep pretty fast- lol! I wasn't super hungry the second day- so a breakfast bar in the morning, small sandwich for lunch and maybe hearty soup later would do the trick! Small meals and munchies throughout the day worked better for me than anything heavy. Just keep hydrating- the sooner you can swish those drugs around and out the better you will feel. Keeping you in prayers; I will be watching for your post that everything went well and you are home resting comfortably! Hugs!
