My SSI took only 2 months, they expediated it because I had no income.

There was an article in here that said you can qualify for early medicare and SSI if you have metastatic disease. It’s probably good to contact SS administration to ask.

I'm from PA. And I am 59. When I applied for Disability I was 57. And I receive SSD
Because of my diagnosis I am considered Disabled with a special for just Breast Cancer. All they asked is that your doctor sign your application and give your diagnosis. But it takes at least 6 months. Before you receive payment.

SSI is for 65 and older with lack of resources and any age blind or disabled. If you have Stage 4 Breast cancer its easy enough to get copies made of initial diagnoses/treatments etc.

I get SSI, lack of resources. When I applied, they said I was eligible due to age and diagnoses of Stage 4 Breast so she said they will just do it because of age. They expediated the process and I got a retroactive payment after 2 months of waiting.
