Avoid as much sugar as you can, cancer's main fuel source.
Please don't second guess the decisions you already made. You made your decisions based on the best information available and with the team that knows you- your current bc status, your current health, etc. Even with a double mastectomy, bc does not play fair, and can be found in other places later. BUT, right now, you are in a healthy place, you are getting care, and being closely monitored. And if, there are indications that bc has come back, you will still have decisions to make- based on those circumstances. Yes, there is always a cancer of recurrence. Even if you had both your breasts removed, there is still a chance of recurrence. For TNBC, the highest risk is the first 2-3 years.
TNBC 2018, I hit my 5 years out treatment this year. I try to eat mostly plant based, lots of fruits and vegetables, no alcohol, regular exercise.
