Just over a month ago, I had lymphovenous bypass surgery on my right arm. A single bypass was
done. It's hard to tell if the
swelling in the arm is improving. The surgeon said it could take 1 to 3 months to see improvement. To anyone who has had this surgery, how long did it take to see a reduction in swelling?
The end results will be interesting, so I hope you keep us up to date. I read improvement could take months but if the surgery wasn't a success no further harm was done. I hope this helps you, I hope for the best results for you. ❤️

@A MyBCTeam Member It's healed now. It was superficial, not deep. Luckily I didn't get an infection. My skin has gotten so much thinner as I have aged! It doesn't take much to draw blood or bruise me. I'm only 66 but my body is old!! Wish I had taken better care of myself when I was younger. Hindsight is 20/20.😏
I have lymphadema in my right arm. I've never had any surgery on my lymphs or breast. They just get clogged up. The heat has really effected the swelling in my arm. Something odd happened the other day. I went to throw my garbage in the dumpster and accidentally scraped my forearm on the metal door. I had sanitizer in my pocket and immediately cleaned the area. It only bled a drop or two. Then it started seeping clear fluid in place of the blood. It did this for quite a while. No blood ,just clear fluid.🤔 I must have a lot of fluid in this arm! I took some antibiotics, put antibiotic salve on it with a band-aid. I just got over having cellulitis in this arm. So far it's not got infected!!🤞👍🥹 I just thought it was strange.
