@A MyBCTeam Member Nothing beats a woman who has done the research and knows whats better for herself. There comes that moment like everything else when we say 'Enough'. A miserable relationship or marriage, a stressful job, dealing with a family members behavior, there comes that moment when we say 'No more', 'Enough'.
And that can go with treatments. There is a time when you gotta think 'What am I doing'? How long can I let this continue'? You do you. You do whatever you think is going to give you a better quality of life. ❤️
Right on point Barbara. I’m scared to just say I’m stopping now and of course oncologist just keeps saying “ well now let’s do tamoxifen!” But I’ve read you can’t take it with certain anti depressants one of which is on the list to not take it. And been on that four twenty years so not changing for tamoxifen. Also I understand older woman who’ve gone threw menopause have a chance of uterine cancer if taking it. I don’t want to be the Guinea pig who takes it and something goes wrong. I’ve gVe tried stopping extremestane in feb March for 6 weeks and after a month started to feel
Less achey. I know I’m 72 but I’m thin, was always active, never had this much pain until three years ago. Now all I do is complain . There had to be a better way. Thanks for your support, grit and determination . Have a blessed weekend relax and think good thoughts! Donns
I agree Donna with wanting to live better. As we get older sometimes we realize more what is important. And that is so true, just because we go off these drugs doesn't mean we can't change our mind and go back on them. In the case of Letrozoles ongoing protection when it is stopped for some time, maybe going off for 6 months to a year and then go back on it. 🥰
