Good morning Gillian. There might be a link between lowered hormone levels and blood sugar. I am not sure but something to check out. I am type 2 diabetic and I know just subjectively that I have more trouble with high blood sugar levels on Letroxole and Verzenio. I take my Kazano at the same time as my cancer meds and I feel better dosing that way .

The context provided doesn't specifically mention a direct link between high blood sugar levels and taking Letrozole or Arimidex (Anastrozole). However, it does discuss managing weight and the importance of understanding blood glucose levels, insulin, and insulin resistance when being treated for or recovering from breast cancer. This suggests that while the medications themselves may not directly cause high blood sugar, the overall health and metabolic state of a person undergoing treatment for breast cancer, including those on Letrozole or Anastrozole, should be monitored. It's always best to discuss any concerns about blood sugar levels with your healthcare provider, especially when on these treatments.
