@A MyBCTeam Member: Agree with above, there are options when it comes to the hormone blocker. First - not everyone has side effects. I'm absolutely fine on mine and work full time no problem. Secondly, even if you do have effects, they can always switch you to a different one (some women just do better on one over another for whatever reason. They can adjust dosage, or you can start and then stop altogether if you feel it's not for you. Not pushing you, but just letting you know there are options. Wishing you all the best 🩷🦄

I am on a blocker and also doing chemo.. Im on Letrozole and zero side effects. But I had a bad reaction to my chemo on the first infusion. I was going to give up on the Chemo. I started 1x every 3 weeks for 6 months, after my reaction to my first infusion my oncologist along with my other team members decided to cut my chemo in half, and instead of treatments that were 1x every 3 weeks I am now 1x every 2 weeks and things went alot better. The Letrozole shrunk the tumor that was in my breast alot the first 3 weeks of taking it. The reason I am having Chemo is because I have 2 Lymphnodes in in my arm pit that have cancer. Only Chemo can destroy or shrink the tumors in that area the Letrozole wont do anything for that part. I am 64 yrs old and stage 3. Only you can make this decision but know there are other options ❤️

If not, it does offer protection and many on here take one and work full time.

I had also just read that if hormone blockers are an issue you can take less the recommended dose or take breaks during the month. Take a deep breath decide what you can deal with. Blessings

So much to deal with and you have to be able to live your life without being incapacitated. You have to take care of your heart health.
