Right now I just want to be dropped off in a empty field alone for a few and scream, yell and cry 😢

It's not easy at first- I look at the scars and tell myself- Scars are like tattoos but with better stories- and mine say I faced this stuff head on, and fiercely!! This is not easy, and many pink sisters have found an easier road to acceptance with the help of a counselor or therapist. Whatever helps you heal emotionally as well, is worth the effort. Gentle hugs!

For me, it took me a couple of weeks to accept the new me. I am having delayed reconstruction. Still feel somewhat uncomfortable with my husband seeing the new me, but I know this is just temporary.

Different surgery, but it was hard to see the scars. This changes a person. Give yourself some time to grieve the old you. Eventually you will embrace the cancer conquering warrior that you are!
