The foods I carved had to be salty and sugary. I also ate foods in small portions but frequently. Through both chemo and radiation. Of course my taste buds went on the fritz from the chemo. I even ate cream cheese and sardines as a sandwich. Also black olives and cream cheese as a sandwich.

During chemo, I was nauseous a lot and had to take pills prescribed by my Oncologist but found that ginger tea really helped me and mashed potatoes. I learned the hard way that even when you don’t feel like eating, it’s imperative that you drink something to prevent dehydration. I remember loosing my appetite one time for about three days without eating or drinking enough and ended up in the Medical Emergency Section of the Cancer Center for eight hours to receive IV. So please, for your sake, test different foods until you find something that stays on your stomach because dehydration is not fun!🙏🏾

My taste food was okay during radiation. I did crave for avocados and tomatoes, and that was all I would eat. For breakfast I always liked oatmeal and blueberries. Still do.

Haha-the only thing I found appealing was Mod Pizza....they became my cancer support group and I still get them free most of the time.
