It's funny how Neulasta effects different people in different ways. When I get it, it doesn't burn but it just makes me feel puny and it takes a good week to recover. Unfortunately. it's a necessary part of your treatment to keep your white blood cell count up where it needs to be to fight the cancer. I just try to take one day at a time and rest if I need to but still stay active too.

I had mine placed 4 weeks ago - put under general anesthesia. I had 2 incisions on my left side - 1 small incision above the clavicle and 1 larger below. I couldn’t really eat or turn my head for about 3 days because of the small incision. (Tylenol helped). Also, I was told not to shower for 3 days and not to raise my arm above my shoulder and not to lift anything heavy for 2 weeks.

Yes, I take Claritin for 5 days. Today is my last day so if I’m still in pain, I’ll move onto Tylenol (was able to get away with that). Feel like crap - just need to hang on for couple more days~👍😊

One more thing, are you taking Claritin? My chemo nurses have told me that it helps with all of that. You should take it before and after getting Neulasta.

Yes, me too - was in bed most of the day but moving around to make food, eat, and take medicine..
I got my dose yesterday- waiting for the aches but nothing yet...
My onco mentioned that if I don’t feel the ache, Neulasta is not really working (to produce the white cells) so I’m really looking forward to this pain - hope it comes soon, lol 😆
