I would give it a try and see if you can tolerate any side effects. You can always stop. I tried taking Arimidex and it made me hurt so bad in my hips & knees. I was having trouble walking. One day I fell in the street and could hardly get up. So I changed to Tamoxifen and the pain went away. I have a few side effects (constipation, mild hot flashes, itchy skin). But I can tolerate those things in order to help prevent a recurrence.

I had to stop the tamoxifin due to deep depression among other side effects. It’s your treatment not there’s. If your dr is good, they will support your decision or at least process pros and cons with you. I still question some of these meds as pharma is a business.
