When I tell people I’m drowsy, weak and neuropathy issues they’re like my neighbor does chemo and she drives herself back n forth. It’s like why don’t you drive. I have driven on my non chemo days to doctors appointments but while doing so my body feels so weak and sometimes I don’t think I’ll make it back home. Does anyone else feels this way?
I also gets iv Benadryl. Thank you for responding.
Even on all these drugs that cause dizziness its not safe to drive. I am fearful now of just walking to the store afraid I might pass out .
I don't drive nearly as much as I did before chemo and if possible I like for someone to go with me to ALL Dr appts. My chemo brain will not absorb and retain the info given to me. Also I don't trust myself to drive like I once did and I ALWAYS have someone to drive me home after chemo. The iv benadryl makes me high as a kite.

There are usually transportation services they can let you know about and most insurances pay for them . Or just google or even call the local Breast cancer or Cancer society and sometimes they have people who will drive you. I take public transit but if its something I think could cause dizziness I will have a service at least bring me back.
