Brain fog is an interesting phenomenon. Those of us who have it, know exactly what we mean but a lot of times it is barely measurable (if at all) on psychometric tests. I get it from migraines (which happen fairly frequently) and possibly from some of my medications. It sometimes makes me concerned that I am getting dementia but, as a psychologist, I know the symptom pattern isn't right. I try writing things down but I often forget what I was going to write down - or remember only one of the two things I was going to put on my list. When I can't remember why I opened up my laptop or cell phone, I end up distracted doing something else until it eventually comes back to me that I haven't done what I set out to do. I stall conversations because I can't think of the word I want. And so on. And I'm not even on any cancer treatment!

When does it go away? Does it go away? That is hard to say because people's awareness and sensitivity to the "fog" varies and there are so many things that can and do cause people to feel that their brains are foggier than they should be. The good news is that it is not a progressive disease. We do our best to try to cope with it, exercise if we can, eat healthy foods, keep our brains active, and remember to laugh a lot. πŸ˜„πŸ˜†πŸ™ƒ

Oh, my gosh...I have that too. Im going thru menopause and I have fibromyalgia, all over body pain. They call it fibro fog. Ill just be standing for a few seconds trying to remember what I was going to do! Im a multi tasker so it is very frustrating. I find writing things down really helps. I had it before my cancer so anyone has any other ideas, I would love to know, too.πŸ˜‡

Thank you, Lee. The days of my standing up for hours painting are gone but I still do it when I'm having a good day.

My brain fog seems to come and go. I use essential oils for focus and clarity and it seems to help. Put a few drops in my hands and rub it all over my bald head 🀣🀣
