I was on Anastrozole for 10 days. The pains in my knees was horrible (both knees, tho I previously had mild osteoarthritis in the left knee). At the end of 10 days I could barely walk, plus my right hand was getting pain in the joints. Dr told me to stop for 2 weeks then try letrozole. Have another 9 days before I start on letrazole. Fingers crossed.

I couldn’t take the joint pain from any of the aromatase inhibitors, now on tamoxifen and the pain is a little better, but they all have some bad side effects.

thanks Susan. I know all the pills deplete estrogen, so in sthe end they are all the same.

You should talk to your doctor, I had terrible joint pain with the 3 most popular aromatase inhibitors and now I’m on tamoxifen and the joint pain is slightly better but there’s still other side effects that are not good. Everyone is different.

Yes,some of my preexisting conditions have caused me to not be able to get my treatment some weeks.
