Please let me know how you’re doing with this cocktail of medicines. I have the same combination. I am to get 12 weeks of chemo on this. Does everyone gain weight on this combination? I hope not too much.

My port was out in 24 hours before my first chemo and I had little pain at all with it.
You will have lab work done first and once they get your results to see if all is well to go ahead then you go to an infusion bay. It depends on how many medications you will have in your “cocktail” because they only have one medication go through at a time. There will be pre-meds given first. I have taxol which takes about an hour and carbo which takes about 30 minutes. Bring a book, IPad, blanket, maybe a snack or you can just snooze too! The nurses have made my visits all very pleasant!
