Has anyone had reconstruction with immediate breast implantation with mesh? Looking into this as this is what my plastics guy is recommending. TIA
@A MyBCTeam Member: you do whatever makes you happy, lovely one and not trying to sway you in any which way -but just please make sure you do your own extensive research first to ensure you have all the info -good and bad (I.e BII (Breast Implant Illness) Potential mesh complications, etc. Google Robyn Towt - she has a ton of info (and personal experience) on this. I just worry that PS's sometimes gloss over potential complications (as many doctors do) and just want to ensure you know everything going in. Wishing you all the best 🩷💕🦄
I am almost 6 weeks post op from bilateral mastectomy with immediate saline implants with the mesh sling. For me, since this was an option, I decided to go this way instead of expanders and another surgery later on.
