I was on HRT until diagnosed with breast cancer in January. I was peri menopausal when I began HRT and was on it for 5+ years. I stopped HRT and was put on AI, Letrozole. I began having my cycle with heavy bleeding after starting the medication. I went to my gynecologist and they did a endometrial biopsy for cancer. I am post Meno. I went from to some break thru for a couple of weeks. I changed my Onco Doc and was switched to anaso. I had several bad reactions. I never took HRT. My new Onco told me my ovaries are no longer longer working. My ER/PR comes from the endocrine glands. Often women still have break thru periods. Ask your Onco Dr , I write down all my questions on an index card, review and rewrite. I make 100% use of my time when I am with them. I read quite a bit, National Institute of Health has some great articles. ASK QUESTIONS! BYW I had a bilateral on 1 Nov 22, I am HRPR+/HER-. 65 yr old. I went thru 25 rounds of Rads on 1 Feb 23, rough.
