I’ve been on exemestane (aromasyn) for almost 5 years. I’m just wondering how long it takes for your body to adjust back to its pre- AI treatment status (hot flashes, weight gain and insomnia) Or does it get better? 🙏

I found out that my score is 2.4% chance of recurring so I will not need to be on the AI for another 5 years. That leaves me 72 days left of taking AI’s (not that I’m counting) !!

I went to my oncologist appointment. She told me that the BCI ( breast cancer index) test has been validated enough that she wanted me to do the test to see if I benefited from staying on aromasyn another 5 years. Apparently it tells you whether your recurrence rate is small or higher. I’m waiting now for the results. They use my original tumor to do the testing. I either have 3 more months to go or 5 years and 3 months. 🤞🏻

I'm interested to learn the same @A MyBCTeam Member
I'm only at 3 years, but its still not clear whether I'm on for 5 or 10 years.
I'm curious if/when the side effects subside after you stop taking
