Has Anyone Had Pain Still After Removing Port?

A MyBCTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

I had my port removed in December. I am still having an ache below the collarbone. Usually it is associated with pain in my shoulder and nerve pain into my arm. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had mine removed exactly a month ago and my pain is intense. I told my husband that sometimes with pressure (lifting, pushing, raising my arm etc) it feels like my collarbone is broken or something the pain is so bad. I've had tests but no one can figure out what's going on. I can't even take my own shirt off or use my arm to open doors...

Yes mine was removed March 3 and I’m still having pain and weird sensations where it was at. My oncologist told me that is because the port was attached to muscle and the nerves are still reacting to the port being removed. šŸ˜‰

I had port removed 4 days ago. Have pain in shoulder and little knot or swollen little bit under incision. Is this normal?
