Definitely check with the pharmacist- just like the oncologist is a specialty doctor for cancer- people forget sometimes that the pharmacist is a specialty doctor for drugs. My husband takes assorted prescriptions and had a headache, I told him I was not comfortable giving him anything without checking with the pharmacist. Since we get all our prescriptions filled at the same place, it was easy for him to check- after which, he was so concerned that I get the right OTC med, he went and got it himself, because of possible interactions with the ongoing prescriptions.
Hope your pharmacist is as awesome as ours!! Hugs!!
I would suggest you check with your pharmacist or the hospital pharmacist.
