yes I have had Fulvestrant each month for the last 18 months

Yes I have spoken to a number of people including a breast care support charity, and yes those are all symptoms. I have been on the treatment for 18 months. I think often they give this form of treatment for much shorter periods of time when women are going through treatment for primary cancer so I suspect - from my experience it wouldn't build up the problems. The nurses tend to wince when I give the answer that this is considered a long term solution. I hope it goes well for you.

Sorry to read that you have been experiencing uncomfortable and painful experiences from the injections. Did your Oncologist say that all of your symptoms are related to the Fulvestrant? I "get it" when folks make comments and they don't know what they are talking about and they are not supportive to your individual experience. It is disappointing and does not help at all!! How long have you been getting Fulvestrant injections? Thank you for responding to my question. I very much appreciate.

Yes I get the normal flushes - so pre-ceded by either feeling fatigued, sick, just plain unwell, anguished, depressed. This can last between a minute or so to 30 minutes.

Then I am getting pain in the injection site and muscle damage - pain in lower back - stiffness in leg muscles, hips. I have had groin problems and I really don't know if that is associated as well.

So its very annoying when a friend says they know lots of people taking hormone therapy and none of them have any side effects
