When getting a mastectomy and they put an expander in at the same time do they still put drains in also?

I would say generally yes. I was a 38D prior.. cancer DCIS in my left and abnormal cells in my right. I opted for a nipple sparring DMX and during sentinel node, positive nodes caused 11 on my left side removed. I had 2 drains right side and 3 left with 2 Pico pumps over my incisions.
