Radiation - Expectations

I am going for my first radiation treatment tomorrow - I have no idea what to expect. I've been measured with the markings so far and placed in the machine...Do I wear deodorant? I know, no creams.

Thank you! I am using dove and Calendula cream - also Domeboro soak which is amazing for relief from rashes, burning and soreness.

ONLY UNFRAGRANCED AQUAOUS CREAMS AND DOVE SOAP. Good luck. Some doctors sell their own creams patients can try. Don't go there!

I had terrible itching at the radiation site. I was like stinging prickly itching that was unrelenting. My radiologist said the use Benadryl cream and take Aleve twice a day. Let me tell you I was amazed at how much the Aleve helped.
