I am 71 and was just diagnosed in December of 2020. A lot depends on your diagnosis and what treatments are prescribed. There are things to be considered a bit differently at our age. However, just after you are newly diagnosed is not the best time to make decisions that might make impact you negatively for the rest of your life. I agree that 75 is like 65 today. We have lots of really great years left. Please think about seeking some counseling and, if you can, share your complete diagnosis with your BC members. It’s good to hear how others have handled their decision making. Hugs to you!

Welcome to this great site. Age is just a number. You can do this. We are here to support you and journey with you. People are living longer these days. They say 85 is like a 75 and 75 is like a 65 yr. old now a days. Keeping you in my prayers.

Hello Liz! I read where you were diagnosed in 2021, have you started treatments yet? Different drugs affect us all differently, if you are having difficulty with your current drugs, please ask what can be done to offset the side effects, or if another drug can be tried. Deciding how far to go, is a very personal decision. Personally, I would give the treatments a chance, and then see how I felt. (I'll be 65 in a few months)
