When I lost my hair, my oncologist told me my nose would constantly run. I finished my chemo a week ago and as the weather is changing my nose is just running more and more to the point I'm almost afraid to go out in public for fear of dripping. Will this be my new normal or can I expect it to go away as time passes?

After the chemo cocktail, it took about a month before I felt like I could give up the dinner napkins- lol! I used the Vanity brand dinner napkins instead of tissues, they are just as soft, but better able to handle the job. Tissues were just not meant for that volume of drainage!

It should ease up after chemo is over. Chemo affects all your delicate tissues and mucosal linings - in your mouth, your nose, lady parts, etc. My eyes and nose were runny throughout chemo. Annoying yes, but it will pass 💖

Same here. I went through about a box of tissues a day. It did stop about 2month or so after chemo.

I had my nose just water running down for about 2 years after chemo and radiation finished. Finally just stopped.

It does subside for the most part. What has stayed is chronic dry eye, and, if you’re like me, when the eyes start streaming the nose runs, too. Overall I’m drippier than pre-treatment, but it’s nothing like that chemo waterfall.
