I have not been on in a while and don’t know where to begin. I had a double mastectomy 6-16-16 with reconstruction 12-5-16. Doing well,( except for lovely side effects with Arimidex) but the last week or so I am having a burning type sensation at my incision sites.
Anyone else had this? I don’t complain to anyone anymore because most people say, “ well, the cancer is gone you are fin, right? “
People just don't understand when you have had cancer and they say 'its gone' they have never walked in your shoes, the after effects of the treatment ie blockers has a major affect on your body, not nice. I had a double mastectomy and had narcotic episode a week later, more emergency surgery and I still have tightness, burning sensations, numbness and feel very uncomforable.
My surgery was in 2015.
Just wish someone could have worned me what was to come.

I had a lot of pain in my reconstructed breast. When the PS looked at the incision more closely he noticed small holes in the incision line. He could actually see the implant. It was supposed to be under the muscle, I guess not. He got me into surgery ASAP.
