My expanders were only 400 ccs and they were super painful for the entire 13 months I had them in. The expander actually pushes in your rib cage to make room for the implants. I also had pain wherever the Alloderm was.

The pain for me never went away with the expanders or the implants. Then i was diagnosed with BIA- ALCL - so i thiught it was just me that had experienced that pain. Thanks for sharing - now i know it wasnt all in my mind.

I don't have expanders, and I feel lucky to have decided against reconstruction, however I am much older and in a long marriage with an accepting husband. I feel for you. Doesn't your doctor help to advise? It seems wrong you have all that pain!!
