This is more informational than a question. I came across this article about a new bio marker test for DCIS called DCISionRt. Seems it could gauge the benefit of radiation with DCIS. It gives a score similar to the Oncotype DX for chemo benefit. How anyone heard of this?

My Oncotype was also from Genomic and it was explained to me it is used to decide the benefit of adding chemo in addition to Tamoxifen as @A MyBCTeam Member described. It was not designed as a study for the benefit of endocrine therapies alone. I think since AI’s exist now, they “assume” the same benefit of adding chemo to them as Tamoxifen therapy.
In my case, the OncoType score was used to decide whether or not chemo would be beneficial (it would not). The decision about taking AI was based on the pathology of the tumor - in my case ER+, PR+. HER2-, along with the blood work done to determine whether I was pre-menopausal or menopausal.
I had IDC & DCIS and, as far as I know, the Onco test was done on the tumor only, not on the DCIS.

My onco test shows benefit of Tamoxifen alone, chemo alone, and both. Your oncotype test may or not have been the same as mine which was by Genomic Health. Congrats on having a low score!

Thank you for the link. I like this! It was great how they used the test on an 8 year old biopsy sample which confirmed the choice that woman made regarding radiation treatment. She was relieved for sure.
It would still be interesting to a person who already went through radiation just to see ..(yes for someone with $$$ to spare but intriguing nonetheless) and test on biopsy sample. I could see insurance companies embracing this and allowing coverage before treatment decisions.
