Usually if you get neoadjuvant chemo (before surgery) they want to have the chemo still in your system. The sweet spot is approximately 3-6 weeks after your last treatment. That way your counts are on the upswing but chemo is still working in your system.

yes you will complete chemo prior to surgery. They gave me a month to "recover" a bit from chemo before surgery.

You most likely will finish chemo before surgery. Your white cell count needs to come back before they will do surgery. At least that was my case.

I waited 10 weeks post chemo for my
nipple sparing bilateral mastectomy. A friend of mine waited 4-5 weeks and had the same surgery but they couldnt save her nipples and shes having a lot of complications including necrosis of some skin.
