You nailed it on the head with those side effects. Although my oncologist would not admit that the weight gain was due primarily to the anastrozole, but more to the fact that I am 58 and my metabolism is dropping. Right!

Yes... I have all of the above... aches and pains come and go and move around to different spots.

Took Anastrozole for 16 months. Couldn't handle pain in legs/hips etc. Yes gained some weight. Spoke with Oncologist and she switched me to Letrozole (cousin to Anastrozole). This has brought joint pain in hands (particularly thumb joint) and weakness (in hands). I have some leg discomfort but side effects on Letrozole are less debilitating than Anastrozole. Going to get cortisone shot for thumb joint pain. MO suggested the shot to relieve the thumb pain. I did stop gaining weight. Now I am trying to lose the weight I gained. Walking on a regular basis and really watching what I eat. Feel better than I did on Anastrozole. I am 2 1/2 years free of cancer and that is a good thing!
We all react differently to the drugs. All kinds of aches/pains etc. can show up.
Hopefully, you will be fine. Many have had little/no side effects.

Not just chemo! Also aromatase meds! Things we are not told and did not ask. Not all get the bad that comes with it. It is a journey with adventures along the way.

Yes, these are the typical side effects of aromatase inhibitors. I get them from Femara/Letrozole but have learned to work around them through diet and exercise.

If they get too uncomfortable, speak to your oncologist about switching medications. Sometimes you may have a better reaction to one than the other.
