I'm going to be getting fat grafting to fill in areas above my implant and right side (real boob) where I am "chest boney". But that is "going to" so I am not helpful - yet - to your question Robbin. My exchange is 12/12 so I'm on the 2 week count down to *finally done* !

I have had fat grafting done. (I have lots of rippling.) To me, the surgery wasn't bad. I did have lots of bruising, and the harvest area stung a bit for a few days. I worked the day after surgery. I'm actually scheduled for another procedure in February.

I just saw your question. I had it done and in hindsight would not do it again. I went into detail just now on the question that the host just asked.
If you had radiation chances are that side will not accept the fat. That’s what happened to me and I would up with different sized breasts and was reconstructed a second time to correct it. She had to put a larger implant on the radiated side to make me “even”.
I do recommend asking to have the implants placed OVER the muscle as well.
