Yes, I had lattimus flap on radiated side with no issues. It was much easier than expected and back did not even hurt. I too dealt with infections and had to have expanders removed, wait till healed and start over. Wishing you the best!

It could be that the expanders and implants were being rejected by your body. I always use Hibiclens to shower the night before my surgeries and again the ,morning of the surgery. It kills germs on your body and lasts for several hours. After surgery I always showered every day using it on my body but I had a rain coat on to keep water from getting of my breasts. Never touch your wounds etc. make sure to wash hands and wear gloves too if bandages or drains need tending to. Make sure the nurses and Doctors wash their hands and wear gloves as well. Don't be afraid of hurting their feelings. They'll get over it and you won't get infected!

I did not have any pain either never have not even with bilateral mastectomy, idk why but I had LDF on both sides, he did not do expanders he just put the muscle there so next wed is the day for the fat transfer. I am so embarrassed they have to put a pair of spanks on my blob of a body when he finishes. I fell like a busted can of biscuits anyway. Just really humiliating..
