Whitehouse, OH

Was on Arimidex for 9 months with lots of joint pain. Switched to Letrizole 3 months ago with same joint pain but also bloating. Any suggestions?????

I've had luck with Curamin Extra Strength (marketed for migraines). It's curcumin + boswellia, both pretty powerful anti-inflammatories. I take morning and night without fail and rarely have breakthrough pain.

@A MyBCTeam Member, if you're directing your question to me, no, I did not. My Integrative doc (who lined up my supplements) and my onco agreed that I take nothing during chemo just to make sure there wasn't a force of good competing with the necessary evil of chemo. I did take claratin for pain associated with neulasta shots, and was prescribed Fentinyl for nerve pain while in Taxol rounds--in retrospect, I'd avoid Fentinyl at nearly all costs if possible. That was a nightmare to get off.
So, Curamin Extra Strength began at soon as chemo ended.

Were you able to take it during chemo?

I was on Ameridex, switched to Letrozole, same joint pain, now on Aromasin , fingers crossed, seems much better, taking Ibuprofen and Tylenol to help. Getting physical therapy also.
