Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has become pregnant after a double mastectomy. Mine was done prophylacticly so have not had any treatments but I was more wondering if you had any changes in the breast. My plastic surgeon told me I may have a bit of fluid build up; did any of you have this?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated:)

Data suggests it's totally fine, and logic suggests just what your PS indicated. All tissue swells a bit with pregnancy from retained fluid and an increased vascular network. That said, there's very little tissue present following MX, so it might not be noticeable. If you had a nipple-spare MX, it would be interesting to know if there are the usual nipple changes that occur during pregnancy.
