What Might Rising CA-15-3 Numbers Actually Mean?
My BC stage 3/4 surgery +treatment was completed late 2013 (almost 4 yrs ago) with metastisis detected in early 2015. I have been taking Ibrance for 2 yrs and CA15 number had been lowered and stable until a few months ago
The marker numbers continue to increase, shown by my monthly bloodwork, but are not yet at the level of 3 yrs ago

I don't know if my knowledge is correct but this is what i have learnt (on line and by experience): increased tumor indicators can be caused by benign cysts or infections. Increase in sugar intake and lack of exercise also allows ca15-3 to rise. Mine was slowly rising so i cut right back on my sugar intake and started walking and my last blood test came back lower than before. I
