I've only been taking Letrozole for about three months now. I have many hot flashes throughout the day and night. I'm probably a little spoiled because I never had hot flashes before, not even during menopause. So far that's the only side effect I've noticed. Does it get better or worse with time. Any advice on how to deal with the hot flashes. I go back to my oncologist in two months but just wondered if any of you had any good advice or could share your experience.

There's 3 different meds. Tamoxifin, Letrozole, & Arimidex (anastrozole) I've tried them all. Body aches terrible. Just started few weeks ago on Arimidex so far going good. No trigger finger and less body aches.
Talk to your oncologist , try different meds. They are all in the same 'family' of meds. Good luck hope something works for you. It's FRUSTRATING when you don't feel good....

I so agree @A MyBCTeam Member, the insomnia sucks and the anxiety is horrible. I find regular acupuncture helps in this regard. Good luck.

I am back on it after a four month break, during which my cancer started multiplying. The hot flashes did get less bad, partly with the help of acupuncture. However the depression and insomnia suck out loud.

@idnorris903. I too had hot flashes a few times during the day and night. Have found green juicing helps reduce them. I also did some colonhydrotherapy which helped tremendously. I do acupuncture twice a month and this helps improve detox path ways. This has reduced the flashes to maybe one or two a day.

I have a fan with a remote right next to my bed. When I get a flash I turn it on!
