I am on recurrence #3. DCIS in 2005 R lumpectomy, radiation and Femara. I stopped the Femara after 3 years because of uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts. Recurrance same side invasive 2010, mastectomy, chemo, radiation and Letrozole .I had a prophylactic masectomy on the left side in 2011 which showed DCIS, no additional treatment, continue with Letrozole. Now, axillary recurrence L 2016, axillary disection, chemo, radiation and Faslodex injections. I think that is all of it. I am still fighting!

I started out on tamoxifen but i was very sick, thriwing up, major pain in legs and feet, passing out etc. So ive tried a few other pills. Finally lipon and aromasin. They found spot on liver when i had been hurting in my rib. My rib was fractured and doctor seen spot on my liver during the scan.

I'm estrogen positive too and was told no to any hormone therapy at all. I was even told to avoid soy as much as possible. Of course it's been awhile since mine so maybe things have changed.

I was on Tamoxifen at the beginning for a year. Had a lot of uterine pain & then found out I had uterine fibroids. My mom is an ovarian cancer survivor so between all of that I had a complete hysterectomy. So then they switched me to Femera. I gained 10 pounds from that within 2 months. So then they switched me to Aromasin. I have been taking that for about 1 year. There were no breaks between switching the meds. Good luck to you!
