How long after your double mastectomy without reconstruction or expanses did your swelling subside.

My doctor said to wait a year before I get my "good" set of prosthetic breasts because she's found that it could take that long for my body to be done changing after mastectomy...I'm four months post op and feel like I still have swelling.
