It comes and goes, so I can't really tell if it's my wig (still not long enough to feel comfortable without it at work), hat (my go-to weekend wear)....
Thanks ladies! It may be just that my hair is about 1 1/2" long, curly and thick so the wig may just be making my scalp tender when I wear it (which is 4 days in a row for about 8 hrs a day). Hoping it gets better and my hair grows REAL fast so I can ditch the wig. LOL
To the tender scalp, I'd say no. I can't seem to keep it clean though. I wash it and the minute I go outside, it is dirty again. My hair is short still. I love my hair, just not the length.
I had a really sore head both falling out and coming back I was told to keep moisturing my head with a water based cream which did help. Xx
I used a #1 clipper guard on my head.. so the stubble is about 1/8 inch long. I put condition on it, essential oils and other creams and the itch is still there if I wear a hat or wig. I think, for me it is the pressure against the stubble that makes it hurt. It doesn't hurt when I go bare headed.
My scalp seems to be tender most of the time. I buzzed it in Auguat but there is still crunchy stubble. my chemo nurse keeps telling me it will fall out. I have tried everything, hat liners, cotton scarves, creams and nothing works. They told me not to use a razor on it. Now that it is getting cold out, I need to wear a wig or scarf and it is driving me nuts. I am going to make some hats out of soft yarn and see if that helps.
