Up front, I do t have experience. My IMD diagnosed an MTHFR mutation that is responsible for my having rather viscous blood. I took Tamoxafin anyway, for a year and a half, as there was a notable improvement in my outlook to do so. My IMD ( with approval of my integrative-friendly onco) has me taking boswellia for a host of reasons specific to cancer, among them that it's inherent blood-thinning property might do me some good while taking Tam.
I've since shut down my ovaries and moved into an AI, avoiding this risk all together. New risks abound, and my IMD is managing these. It's a difficult difficult balancing act; I've chosen to reduce my odds of relapse as much as possible with western means, and use Eastern medicine to adjuctively buffer and aide.
Estriol has not been mentioned to me. I might bring it up with both my onco and IMD. Neither buy into phytoestrogens being complicit in proliferation of er+ cancer cells, but are adamant that I stay away from estrogen creams and the like. I'm curious what your thread will produce and look forward to hearing more.

My integrated doctor recommended DIM along with tamoxifen. Amazing how many supplements recommended in a day!

Estriol is one of the three estrogens produced in the body. It is prescribed to relieve menopausal symptoms but i would strongly question that in case of ER + BC. My gyn had stage 0 BC and tried arimidex but did not tolerate it . She told me about DIM, she uses it herself. I thought about it but decided to stick with exemestane, I had nodes involved and want to take the drug that has been scientifically proven to cut my recurrence rAte.

Hi, i just joined with a new diagnosis of breast cancer. I'm curious what came of the estriol question or your experience since this post is a year old. I am premenopausal. My Onco has recommended Tamoxifen after radiation. (Not started yet - had lumpectomy ) Thanks!
