Just saw an article about dandelion root killing cancer - anyone know anything about this?

Yes, I've heard this and bought the tea. My oncologist told me to go off of it while I was on treatment but I plan to go back on once I'm finished as well as starting to take 2 drops of frankincense oil internally daily. I'm also trying to incorporate 1/2 - 1 tsp of tumeric everyday☺

@A MyBCTeam Member, there are hundreds of different strains of marijuana and each is made up very differently chemically. I think to do controlled clinical trials would be very difficult and the growing conditions probably could have an effect on the chemical make up of the plant. I don't buy the conspiracy theories that our docs are in with big pharma for profit and denying us life saving information so that they can continue to line their own pockets.
@A MyBCTeam Member, I don't think dandelion root is a miracle cure but the fact that they were able to do a clinical trial with it makes me think the claim that it could help may have merit.

@A MyBCTeam Member - I am a big advocate of preventative natural treatments and I always used to say if I was diagnosed with cancer, I would never do the chemo/radiation route. Almost everyone I knew at that time that had cancer and gone through chemo were dead. Including my mother, my brother, and two very dear friends in their late 30s who died within weeks of each other. So heartbreaking. So I never wanted to expose myself to such toxic drugs as chemo because I saw how the depleted the "fire" in my family and friends. But when I received my diagnosis in December 2013, I signed up for the chemo immediately. I feel that I instinctively knew that if I wanted the tumor to be gone, I would need something stronger than dandelion root or ginger. Having said that, I do consume those foods. I eat a plant based diet and I don't use chemical cleaners, etc. I have done a pretty good job of living a clean life eating all the cancer fighting foods, etc. but I still got cancer. I believe that I had an easier time getting through the chemo treatments because of my healthy lifestyle but I also believe that I would be much sicker if I had tried to "cure" my cancer with natural foods/supplements alone - I was already doing that so why would I get cancer? The $64billion dollar question!

My mother used to eat dandelions for salad with vinegar and oil.. the leaves... its good..
when she was 20 at home

sad to say she still got breast cancer in her 90s but maybe doesn't hurt to eat bitter greens.
