Fatigue, shortness of breath, and mouth/nasal sores are my biggest side affects from AC. They usually subside around days 5-6. 2 of 4 done with that and then on to Taxol for 4. My sleep patterns are ALL messed up, but I think that might be a steroid side affect.

I had a lot of Bome pain with the first 2 AC treatmenta but not the 3rd. I do the 4th tomorrow. I had very little nausea, I think I only took the pills 2 or 3 times. I had a loss of appetite and nasal burning. I think the biggest side effect for me was the fatigue and being out of breath whenever I did anything. They tell me Taxol and Carboplatein are much easier on the body.

I think I barely had bone pain, probably because I took Claritin to thwart any generated by the neulasta shots.
For me, Taxol was the absolute pits--although there are many who would say AC was the harder component for them. I DID have significant pain with Taxol, and it seemed to be from my muscles down to the bone.
I'm so glad AC is running fairly smoothly for you. And, keep in the back of your mind that should any dramatic pain present, your infusion nurses will get right on finding a solution for it. There's little reason for chemo to be the nightmare it was in the not-too-distant past; pain management is doable and deserved. Don't hesitate to ask for it should the need arise.

AC was hard on me because I sleep for days and had trouble functioning. The chemo taste and naseua was the worst. And, it made me so constipated that I had to also deal with a fissure and alot of pain. I didn't have much leg pain, but took claritin. Taxol has been different with extreme leg pains and numbness in my finger tips. I have no energy and am out of breath going up one floor. I don't have naseua and the chemo taste is thankfully gone; as is the constipation. My doctors said that AC is worse than Taxol, but I'm not sure. I will just be happy to be done with chemo on October 12th and am hoping that I feel better before starting radiation and tamaxifil.
