TC Chemo IV Infusions

Has anyone who was given TC chemotherapy without a port but did the infusions through regular IVs have any vein discoloration? My 2 & 3 infusions have discolored 2 of my veins. They tell me this may or may not be permanent. Anyone else experience something similar?

I did all of my chemo treatments in my arm with IVs. I refused the port for multiple reasons. I did great. I am 2 years out and have zero residual problems. I do not regret my decision at all. I truly believe the infusion nurse makes all the difference.

Yea I do Lisa. I also had a Taxotere burn about the size of a dime next to the vein used.

Yep. With each treatment. Some little one time my entire top of hand. Twice in forearm. But they are all fading. Last chemo 8/19/16

I just had my second cycle of TC and I don't have a port and haven't noticed anything discoloration other than a little bruising from the IV. Hugs
