Hi Ladies! Hope everyone is doing well! So, I had bmx 2 years ago, have not had reconstruction and I wear prosthesis. I just started water aerobics and wear a bathing suit that I can put my foobs in. The problem is they rise and my bathing suit ends up just about around my neck! I mean, if I were out in the middle of the ocean I wouldn't need a life jacket cause these rising like they do there is no way my head can go under water!!! So my question is does anyone know of a certain brand of… read more

Just a quick update! Another survivor in my class had the same problem as I did, but today we both showed up sans foobs! This was not planned but we both felt a lot better without them! I want to get some swim breast forms, but until I do I will continue without any! Thanks, again!

Argh ... I just typed you a very detailed answer and somehow lost it before sending :( Here's your answer:

I know exactly what you're talking about! I order all my breast forms from Liberator Medical.
(Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators) http://www.liberatormedical.com/mastectomy-fash...

PDF for the catalog: http://www.liberatormedical.com/liberator_fashi...

First I ordered the foam weighted forms for swimming and the chlorine began to deteriorate the foam.
Now I use silicone forms designed for swimming and I have no complaints. Page 36 in the catalog.
STYLE: Amoena 149
WEIGHT: Light
FIT: Average
SHAPE: Triangle
COLOR: Clear
SIZES: 1-14

I order my mastectomy swimsuits from Swim and Sweat online. (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators)
Their Krinkle suits resist chlorine. Great customer service. Always wait for a sale price.

Hope that helps!

Why not just swim without? I've been flat for three years and try to swim daily as well as do a fairly intense aqua fit class weekly. Last winter, one Lady lost her forms during class and they floated merrily past our only male participant 😳
No one has moticed that I'm flat until they see me in the buff in the locker room. Just not worth the hassle.

Luckily I have a place about an hour from my home, that has the mastectomy suits and sells prostheses too. The swimming prosthesis works so much better than when I tried with my regular one. It is "almost" natural. Insurance did cover the second one since it was different than the everyday one.
