Yep, achiness, weight gain, swollen left ankle/foot, chemically induced menopausal lack of memory retention and loss of mental sharpness.....etc. but happy to still be here to complain about it!! xoxoxoxo

I still haven't ctacted my oncologist about my pain from the Anastrozole, I'm fine during the day, but like Roseann said, those sleepless nights! It wakes me up when I do fall asleep. Haven't heard anyone complain about achy feet? That's my worse complaint. Have to admit something, I have been bathing a horrible week at work, so glad it's Friday. The other nth time I came home did my Flexitouch massage, fell asleep after taking one of my anxiety pills. I forgot to take my Anastrozole. I didn't wake up through the night and woke up with no pain at all. That is some wicked medication. Amazing what one little 1mg pill can do to your body.

I am on Anastrozole for about two and a half months. I have the hot flashes and night sweats which has increased greatly with this medicine. My degenerative joint disease pain is at a 10 with severe knee pain. I am trying to avoid knee replacement surgery with alternative therapy. I have an appointment on Monday for the first gel injection. Have to have three injections over a three week period..If this procedure does not improve my condition I will have the knee replacement. As for the Anastrozole, I will continue to take as long as I can manage the side effects. What's a girl to do? HUGS!

I have been on Anastrozole since August of 2014 and have been hot 24/7 since I started taking it. Since I am almost 63 I already had joint pain in my knees and other joints and nothing has worsened. No swelling thank goodness but I did develop neuropathy from some of my chemo and my Dr. thinks it is permanent and Anastrozole has no effect on that. I had taken Femara from 2000 to 2005 when I had breast cancer the first time and only side effect I had then was weight gain but the chemo had wiped out my thyroid in 2000 so that might have contributed to the weight gain. My sex drive has skyrocketed since I started taking the Anastrozole and my oncologist told me usually it has the reverse effect on women so I guess I am a freak.

Been feeling better. Not as much pain, maybe I'm getting used to it. How sad. Haven't had a doctor appointment since mid July. Feels strange. Happy that fall is coming, been a wicked hot humid summer, but snow follows that here in Chicago. Ugh. Overthinking it I know. Got myself an inexpensive stationary bike to keep the exercise up. Still doing my Flexitouch massage every night. Still can't loose weight. I literally threw a good scale away because it depressed me. Get rid of the negative. On the brute side, my good friend and I just booked a trip next April to Jamaica. I'm Italian she's Sicilian , we never shut up. Fun times ahead!
