Busy day and lots to share. Went to a health seminar at work on boost your metabolism (gained 20 lbs since diagnosis) - they brought up dehydration and it made me think that maybe my headaches are related to diet/hydration- I had forgotten that when I had my headaches in Germany, the pharmacist always stressed the importance of getting enough water and magnesium.
Also went to a program offered by INOVA's Life with Cancer on endocrine therapy (tamoxifen and AIs - very good for anyone in the northern Virginia area. There are lots of side effects I had not heard about - joint, bone, muscle aches ... They also said that changing the particular AI might help and for bone issues there are some other meds available.
Still planning to ask dr when I have my first USA dr visit in two weeks and will let you know.

Remember that hormone blockers are 1/3 of your total treatment. My doc stressed that I not quit taking Letrozole (Femara). especially if you are a high risk for recurrence.

No headaches but everything else aches! I've had severe joint pain since the first week , was on anastrozole first then dr. Put me on letrozole it's no better I'm slowly losing use of my hands joints swell so bad that I've developed trigger finger in four of my fingers , can't make a fist can't use a knife open a bottle of water it's awful I've also got a locking in my jaw joint. My oncologist just says talk to family dr. She did blood work and my sed. Rate was elevated so I am seeing a reumatologist now he thinks u have reumatoid arthritis , I know it's the letrozole . He has put me on prednisone but it's not helped . I don't know how I will stay on this pill for five years it's not even been 3 months. I've read that some people's symptoms got better over time. I'm praying for that.
