Bring a little pillow for between your seatbelt and your chest. Good luck!

Bring an oversized shirt that doesn't require you to lift your arms over your head and sweatpants. I also had a bilateral mastectomy. I had immediate reconstruction w. expanders placed. I found the pain tolerable but significant. Best advice I could give is take your pain meds and stay ahead of the pain. I was much better within a couple of days. Best of luck.

Bring comfy clothes to wear home - sweatpants and a loose shirt (1-2 sizes bigger than you normally wear, because of any bandages and/or drains) that either buttons or zips up the front. Good luck - you can do this!

Ladies I'm home and I am on morphine every 4hrs my under are. Bother me and I have some burning. I do have a nurse that comes out twice a week. I have like a velcrow belt that I recieved from the America Cancer in the hospital from Kaiser , they gave me a bag with things I need and also a pill and a pink rose. I had the pain but I'm trying to manage it

Have pillows for on your ride home from the hospital. I placed them around me. A recliner to recover in I slept in it for weeks. Button up comfortable pjs, I had a shower chair to sit in also, I used my left over oxygen tubing as a necklace to pin my drain tubes to while I showered... We family and friend offer to help with clean or a meal take them up on it... You have one time to heal... Get lots of rest and just take care of you. Hugs
